MeetMax launches Corporate Access Manager to help Equity Sales Heads manage Corporate Access more effectively.

September 4, 2008 – New York. MeetMax, a division of The Wall Street Transcript, announces the launch of its Corporate Access Manager (CAM) for Institutional Equity Sales departments. MeetMax CAM is a tool designed to help sell-side firms get fully paid for their Corporate Access services. It’s a flexible reporting system that aggregates all of a bank’s Corporate Access activity in a single system, plus customizable report generator that allows Equity Sales Departments to send accurate and timely activity reports to their Clients.

“For many sell-side firms, Corporate Access is key service offering to Institutions. But the connection to getting paid is being under-managed. MeetMax CAM is like a billing system for Corporate Access.” explains Andrew Pickup, President of The Wall Street Transcript. “These firms work really hard, and do a great job of creating meetings with company management, at their conferences and roadshows. But the final step of pulling all that activity together each quarter, and sending complete, accurate meeting reports to their Clients is still too haphazard. They are literally leaving money on the table.”

Sell-side firms typically use a variety of software systems to schedule Corporate Access meetings: one for conferences, one for road shows, email for lunches and one-off meetings. Preparing a quarterly report of all meetings for a given Institution is a time-consuming task: it can literally take hours of a valuable sales person’s time to gather all the relevant data.

Institutions themselves have become more sophisticated about using these reports in their commission voting processes, and each Institutional Client may have its own unique report format. An improperly formatted report may be rejected. An incomplete report will leave meetings uncompensated. A late report may never be counted. All of which means the bank’s compensation won’t fully reflect all of its work on behalf of that Institution. With MeetMax CAM, reports are complete, accurate, timely and properly formatted to meet the requirements of each Institutional Client.

Andrew Pickup adds, “Corporate Access is so valuable now. For a Sales Director, trying to determine the type and mix of meetings to provide to which Client can be a puzzle – because compensation Client voting algorithms opaque. But knowing precisely what services the firm has delivered to each of its Clients, to line up against commission revenue is a key first step. When banks use MeetMax CAM – they will be able to manage Corporate Access services far more effectively than they can now.”
